Statement on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence
(GenAI)
NJE
recognizes the increasing use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)
tools in academic research and scholarly publishing. Authors may use GenAI
tools to assist with tasks such as language improvement, grammar checking,
formatting, and enhancing the clarity of manuscripts; however, the use of such
tools must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript.
GenAI
tools must not be listed as authors or contributors, as authorship requires
accountability, intellectual contribution, and responsibility for the content
of the published work. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy,
originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their submissions, including
ensuring that any AI-assisted content is appropriately verified and properly
referenced.
The
Journal does not permit the use of GenAI tools to generate research findings,
fabricate data, manipulate results, or replace the critical scholarly judgment
of authors. Any undisclosed or inappropriate use of GenAI that compromises
research integrity may result in rejection or retraction of the affected
manuscript.
By submitting a manuscript to the Journal, authors confirm that they have complied with this policy and have disclosed any relevant use of GenAI tools during the preparation of their work.
